OUR COMPANY

Emerging out of Melbourne’s underground skateboard culture of the late 1970s, the Hill brothers’ passion for skateboarding led to the founding of their initial company, Hardcore Enterprises. Following the Australian super skateboard tours of the 80s, the streetwear fashion explosion of the 90s and the subsequent expansion of Globe Shoes into North America and Europe, the company was publicly listed in 2001 as Globe International Limited. The acquisition of a skateboarding manufacturing base in 2002 and increased expansion saw the company not only survive the subsequent economic downturns but thrive into the current day with multi-branded high end designed and manufactured products. In the subsequent decades, with changing youth cultures and digital landscapes, Globe International looked to again evolve its brand mix and distribution channels. This lead to the introduction of several new brands including the FXD workwear label in 2012, Impala Skate and the Salty Crew apparel brand in 2017 and most recently, It’s Now Cool.

Under an ever evolving stable of brands, including both licensed and proprietary labels, the company continues to design and manufacture high end products across three product categories; apparel, footwear and skate hardgoods. After 35 years of commitment, tracing back to the original enthusiasm of the company’s founders and earliest staff, Globe International remains connected to its core markets.
